You are 'growing one's own food'.

You are guided by two words: 'Live simply.' You
value quality over quantity in most things, and
you have little use for the materialism and
consumerism of modern culture. You know the
value of hard work and try to be
self-sufficient as much as possible, and what
you do you do well. Unfortunately, no man is
an island, and you cannot do everything
yourself. Your puritanical work ethic makes
makes people think that you are weird, and not
much fun. Your problem is that growing one's
own food has been obsolete for a long time.

What obsolete skill are you?

Go to musicoutfitters.com and put your birth year into the search blicky. The first link is likely the top 100 songs of that year. Cut and paste that list here. Bold the ones you actually like. Understand that the word "like" in this case means, in the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the radio station from." Pick a favorite. Underline that favorite.

I recently read a book called Redefining Our Relationships by Wendy-O Matik. It was quite interesting. This is just a snippet of what she says.

"Open relationships challenge us to confront our jealosy and possesiveness. Comitting to a relationship not mapped out by our parents, or society, or Hollywood means tearing down the very foundation of status quo and conformity. It means redefining and rebuilding a relationship based on your needs and values. Loving openly and freely in this day and age is a political act."

Very inteesting words..

4:33 pm - For all that know her..
I wanted to let you all know that Dorian is going back to her mom on July
1st.  So if anyone feels the need to stop by and tell the little intrepid
traveller farewell, feel free to do so(Thurs would be the best day i think).  As
you all know, she is a brilliant conversationalist and an avid reader(of 1st
level books).  She enjoys girly clothes and Barbie anything is always a winner
if you have gift giving in mind.  Also she loves to dance and swim, so if you'd
like to sponsor her in a summer activity, i can help you do that.

You scored as The Magic Earring Ken Dyke. You're tough, mysterious and extremely butch. But you love who you are and often consider it a compliment when someone thinks you're a male.

So the bird thing actually resolved itself pretty quickly the next morning. I took D to daycare and when i got back S had let the bird go. She said he had gotten out of the box and was chirping around in our battub and having a good time. She felt like we were holding him prisoner..So she let him go outside and he bounced away... I haven't seen a dead corpse yet, so i can only assume it all worked out.

7:01 am - Animal Rescue!
So last nite i got home at 8:30 and there was a small drama unfolding... The kid ran to greet me and tell me about the lost baby bird in the stairwell. I, of course have no idea what she's talking about til my partner gets her to calm dowm. Then S. tells me that it's a very small bird stuck in the stair way to the garage. After a little more probing i discover that no one has actually done anything and the poor thing is still down there...So I resolve to rescue it, if it's possible. I shred some newspaper, but it in a box and we go sown to find it. It's just a baby. It must have fallen out of the next. I finally get it in the box and take it upstairs. We put it in the bathtub with the box. This morning i have to find some place that handles things like this. The kid thinks she won't ever have to take a bath again cause the bird is in the tub...

Living Will of "SO-SO"

(Fill in the blanks) I____________________________________ |
being of
sound mind and body, do not wish to be kept alive
indefinitely by
artificial means.

Under no circumstances should my fate be put in the hands of
peckerwood
politicians who couldn't pass ninth-grade biology if their
lives
depended on it.

If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to sit up
and ask for a
cold beer, it should be presumed that I won't do so ever
again. When
such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my
spouse, children
and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes
and call it
a day.

Under no circumstances shall the members of the Legislature
enact a
special law to keep me on life-support machinery. It is my
wish that
these boneheads mind their own damn business, and pay
attention instead
to the health, education and future of the millions of
Americans who
aren't in a permanent coma and who nonetheless may be in
need of
nourishment.

Under no circumstances shall any politicians butt into this
case. I
don't care how many fundamentalist votes they're trying to
scrounge for
their run for the presidency in 2008, it is my wish that
they play
politics with someone else's life and leave me alone to die
in peace.

I couldn't care less if a hundred religious zealots send e-
mails to
legislators in which they pretend to care about me. I don't
know these
people, and I certainly haven't authorized them to preach
and/or crusade
on my behalf. They should mind their own damn business, too.

If any of my family goes against my wishes and turns my case
into a
political cause, I hereby promise to come back from the
grave and make
his or her existence a living hell.

Signed and dated and indeed being of sound mind I declare
the above to
be my last wishes.
